I grew up with pictures around me. Two of my uncles were painters. My fathers' brother died very young, and left my parents some inspiring
Pictures for me to admire and to copy. The other uncle, I could observe his technique, when he painted in water-colour surrounded by other family members. As a child, I was always surrounded by books with good illustrations, such as in my grandmother's Bible. Music and singing otherwise surrounded my every day family life.I have always sketched themes relevant to my age group. I attended Soilands Painting School for children. My teachers in Primary and Secondary school were all talented instructors, particularly in painting and drawing. Pictures within me and without me, a subtitle to my part of exhibition. The pictures shown, deal with dreams and communication.
